I am planning another visit to Sheridan this summer so I decided to come in July for the reunion!!I came home for Christmas but didn't venture out much because of the weather.Wow it still gets very cold and snowy there in the winter. We get snow and cold here in Utah...but not like Wyoming.I look forward to seeing everyone.I have enjoyed reading all the profiles and stories from classmates,so I thought I would
add my story and catch you up on what I have been up to for the last 30 years.

As you may or may not remember...I was the girl that got pregnant senior year and dropped out to have my daughter,Shaunna.I came back the next year and got my diploma, so technically I graduated in '80, but have always considered myself a graduate of '79.

I had my ups and downs for the first 2 years raising my daughter until i met my future husband and best freind Kenny. He immediately fell in love with my daughter and without hesitation, he stepped in and became a part of our lives. He was the most loving, doting father a little girl could ask for.

We married in Nov.of 1982.Kenny was an Ironworker and we traveled to various jobs in Wyoming,Montana and Utah. When Shaunna started school we made the decision to stay in one place to give her a more stable life.We settled in Utah in 1984 and bought an old old old house from Kenny's grandfather...fixed it up as best we could and made it home for 22 years.

Kenny continued traveling to various jobs building power plants, skyscrapers ,and bridges in Wyoming,Utah, and Nevada. Most jobs were in Utah and allowed him to be home every night with occasional out of state jobs where he was home on weekends.

We enjoyed many different activities throughout the years...golfing,hunting,camping,fishing,4-wheeling.We raised our own beef and pork for many years. Our favorite thing was to go to Vegas for Nascar races. We went every year for 7 years. It became our vacation.I have been wishing for the last 3 weeks that I was going to be there this year...this weekend, but it was not meant to be.Anyway..gooooooo Kevin Harvick!!!!!!

I was fortunate to be able to be a stay at home mom when Shaunna was younger, and as she got older, and I needed an outlet, I had various part-time jobs...my first cooking burgers and such for hungry golfers at the local golf course. But that was only a summer job so I then did inventory and took care of titles and registrations for the car dealership.Cutbacks led to my job bieng given to someone who could work full-time.Oh well...what can you do.My next job was at the hospital cooking for the patients and employees. After several years and a new "snooty miss know it all" supervisor I quit.In 1996 I was offered a job at Ace Hardware and worked there until June of 2005.I left with the intentions to travel with Kenny and spend more time with him.

Shaunna married in 2004 and was living her own life and so it was now our time together.Kenny was working in Vegas at the time and once he finished the bridges he was building,
he was going to work on the new Hoover
Dam Project. He finished the bridges in August 2005 and a small 1-week project came up at an oil refinery in North Salt Lake and he was sent there first.Well, that turned into an 8 month job, and on May 1st 2006...the Monday of his last week there... he was killed on his way to work when he came up over a hill and ran into 2 deer in the middle of the road.Damn Damn those deer.It was the worst day of my life.I miss him soooo much every day.He was a truly wonderful man and we had the most wonderful and adventurous life together.

The first few months after his death are kind-of a blur but I had to pull myself together for our daughter. His death has been very hard for her as well.

On April 2nd, 2007 Shaunna gave birth to my first Grandson Bridger Kenny Vincent. He is the greatest joy in my life!!!! I cherish every minute I spend with him.Coming up in May, she will be delivering my second Grandson.I can't wait.

In early 2007,I made the decision to tear down my old old old house as it was crumbling down around me.I had a new house built and brought in.The whole process took just around 4 months and in June it will be 2 years in my new house.I've enjoyed painting and decorating the inside. That kept me occupied and out of trouble the first winter and I spent a-lot of time last summer working on the landscaping.I'm waiting to see if all my shrubs and flowers survived the winter.

This last winter,I started getting a little stir-crazy and have been thinking about taking some classes at the nearby college. But that could all change soon, as my daughter and her family have just put their house up for sale and want to buy my corner lot and build a home next door. She would likely get her job back at the hospital and I would then take care of my grandbabies while she worked.

In any event, with all the things life has thrown at me over these past 30 years,I have had a very, very blessed life and look forward to what is still to come...good or bad...and I will do the best I can.

Once again I look forward to seeing those of you that are coming to the reunion.May God bless you all.

I will post pictures soon so please check back.
