Christof Daniel Deutsch, 30, of Sheridan died Wednesday at the Sheridan VA Medical Center of a brain tumor.
He was born March 9, 1961, in Sheridan, the son of Chris and Pat Deutsch.
He grew up in Sheridan and graduated from high school in 1979.He served in the Navy from November 1981 to may 1989.He married Lisa Lefkay on October 17, 1988, in Norfolk, VA.The couple returned to Sheridan in 1989 and he worked at the sawmill.He enjoyed motorcycles, the mountains and his dog, Ginger.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother Amelia Deutsch and his grandfather, Raymond Ellis.
Survivors included his wife; parents; grandmother Helen Ellis, Sheridan; two sisters, Julie Hannawi, Endwell, NY and Katyrn Deutsch, Los Angeles; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Memorials may benefit the Salvation Army, P.O. Box 2011, Sheridan, 82801.
Services will be Saturday at 10 am from Ferries Funeral Home with Lt. Alfred Parker officiating.
I believe he died of a brain tumor in the early 90's. His wife, Lisa, also died about a year later of a tragic accident on the old highway to Ranchester.
