Don't know who reads this but I Meagan (Torrens) Gussler daughter of Brenda (Douglas) Torrens just posted pictures to my moms profile. Had to help her shes not too tech savy. Check it out and leave her some love.
BTW this website is so cool...have you checked out the site shsalumni.net? its a cool site has class rosters listed from like 1894 to current and lists obit of classmates we have lost etc. Well maybe I will see you all at my moms reunion on July because I too am boring and live in Sheridan! haha :)

Meagan, thanks for being the "middle-man" for your Mom, although I remember her appearing quite brainy in HS and think she probably knows more about the computer than she admits! (:

I am so glad that I got the invite for the reunion. I didnt know this page was here, and I have been loving looking at all the old pictures, and remembering all the good times when we were young and full of life. I am saddened by the loss of some, but it brings joy to see everyone else. I would love to be at the reunion, but it has been a hard year, and will probably take me 3 to make it up. If anyone is of the mind, drop me a line. I love to hear how everyone is doing! :)

Hi! Fellow Classmates.I got this from a friend and added to it. Be my guest add your own ideas.

To Those of You Born between 1930 - 1979

At the end of this email is a quote of the month by Jay Leno. If you don't read anything else, please Read what he said.

To all the kids who survived the 1930's, 40's, 50's, 60's and 70's!!

First, we survived being born to a few mothers who smoked and/or drank while they were pregnant; they took aspirin, ate blue cheese dressing, tuna from a can and
didn't get tested for diabetes.
We slept on our tummies in baby cribs covered with bright colored sheets.
We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles, locks on doors or cabinets.
As infants & children, we would ride in cars with no car seats, booster seats, or air bags. Most of us wore seatbelts and sometimes we didn’t.
Riding in the back of a pickup truck on a warm summer’s day was always a specialtreat. We are mostly good drivers many of us drove around in old pickups or cars on the ranches as soon as we could see over the dashes.
When we rode our bikes, we had baseball caps not helmets on our heads. We rode bikes or walked to a friend's house and knocked on the door or rang the bell, or just walked in and talked to them.
We drank water from the garden hose and not from a bottle.
We shared one soft drink with four friends, from one bottle and no one actually died from this.
We ate cupcakes, white bread with real butter, and eggs & bacon. We drank whole milk by the gallon in glass jars, we used the cream on our cereal. We drank Kool-aid
made with real white sugar.
We were always outside, playing...We never complained of being bored, we made our own fun.
We would leave home in the morning and play all day, as long as we were back when the streetlights came on, or mom called us to dinner.
WE HAD FRIENDS and we went outside and found them!
No one was able to reach us all day. And, we were O.K.

We would spend hours building forts out of scraps in the trees or by our houses. We learned how to build, then tore them down and rebuilt them.
We would spend hours building our go-carts out of scraps and then ride down the hill, only to find out we forgot the brakes. After running intothe bushes or the creek a few times, we learned to solve the problem.
We played for hours in our yards with the sprinklers on and in the ponds at the Information Center. We learned to swim in the creeks, at lake De Smet, or in the
City Park’s and YMCA’s pools.

We fell out of trees, got cut, broke bones and teeth and there were no lawsuits from these accidents.
We ate mud pies made from dirt.
We were given BB guns for our 10th birthdays.
We made up games with sticks, rocks and tennis balls and, although we were told it would happen, we did not put out very many eyes.

Little League had tryouts and not everyone made the team yet everyone played and was invited to the YMCA teams.
The idea of a parent bailing us out if we broke the law was unheard of;they actually sided with the law!

These generations have produced some of the best risk-takers problem solvers and inventors problem solvers and inventors ever.
The past 50 years have been an explosion of innovation and new ideas.

We had freedom, failure, success and responsibility, and we learned how to deal with it all.

If YOU are one of US? CONGRATULATIONS!

You might want to share this with others who have had the luck to grow up as kids, before the lawyers and the government regulated so much of our lives for our own good.
While you are at it, forward it to your kids so they will know how brave and lucky their parents were.

The quote of the month is by Jay Leno:
'With hurricanes, tornados, fires out of control, mud slides, flooding, severe thunderstorms tearing up the country from one end to another, and with the threat of bird flu and terrorist attacks, are we sure this is a
good time to take God out of the Pledge of Allegiance?'

For those that prefer to think that God is not watching over us...go ahead Have a Good Day!

I keep forgetting this area of the website exsists!! I am enjoying reading all your posts folks, and I really have enjoyed yours Laura Pope!!

I have heard from several people on this site and it is truely amazing what NICE people we all turned out to be!! This is just another reason why I am SOOOO excited to come back to Sheridan in mid July 2009 and catch up!!

I too, have forgotten about this message forum - it is great to see that we have turn out pretty well. Thanks Laura, for the great note. It is truly amazing we turned out at all. I think we were better for it too. It amazes me sometimes to think about the world we lived in - so much more simpler and fun. I guess that is why they call it the "good old days". Have a good day and a better tomorrow!!

Hello everyone! I too was saddened to see the lost of so many of our classmates. I have spent some time reading the profiles of our classmates and have to say I am very impressed! It has been a wonderful experience to catch up on, and read about many of you and your lives. I am uncertain if I will be able to attend our reunion which saddens me because I would love to get reacquainted with so many of you. We have a variety of personalities and people in our class that make us very unique. I am proud to belong to the class of 1979!!!

I don't know who put all of the obits on the profiles. But I would like to thank that person for their time and energy to do so for these classmates. It was nice and also sad to read all of them. Thank you!!!

Hiya Roger!!

Good to see ya over here......I always forget this area of the site is here, but I see you DL'ed a few pics already and they look great. As far as I know there is no size limit, I use a photo program on my PC to compress and shrink mine down.

If anyone is reading this, and you need pictures resized and think they are too big, let me know, send the full sized images to me and I will send you the resized ones. KeelyZee@aol.com

Cheers!!!

I would like to see SHS graduates because I grew up in Sheridan. I am thinking about coming up Thursday and wonder how many people would be willing to meet at the pony or mint on Thursday. I am helping put on KWHS reunion the same weekend. Do you think lots of people would be in town by Thursday.
I will make the 2 hour trip if I knew I could see old friends

Raymond (Oatts) Clevidence

I would like to thank everyone who put this reunion together, your efforts resulted in an amazing turn out!

My experience in returning to my home town will never be forgotten, I grew up with kids that became great men and women. There was not one person I didn't enjoy talking with and had so much fun at the activities. If I had any presence of mind I would have said so when Cindy called me up on stage but I was the proverbial deer in the headlights and was so thankful my legs somehow got me back to my seat!

I look forward to seeing everyone in the future, I am so proud and honored to have such wonderful friends and classmates. Love and Respect to the Class of '79!

Linden Rules!

I wanted to thank ALL the attendees and the ones that could not make it as life is a busy sport for signing in to the Web Site..... A special thanks to Ray Vigil and John Kiser as they are still in the Military service... I was busy but wanted a special shout to any person who has ever served in any branch of Military... we had a board that was cool and thanks to the people that put it and all the special "touches" on the event..... I am still laughing at the hemorrhoidal cream (yes it is spelled right as I am looking at the box) as it was a perfect fit??? HA Stay tuned as more pictures coming soon......

I sure had a great time at this reunion and it was well worth the trip the 2,000 plus miles to be there!!

Sheridan's a great little town and I miss the slow pace of life out here in the big city, but I was glad to get back to the hussle and bustle of the big city again!!

It was great working with the committee and the success was owed to those who never gave up and kept pushing through. We had people at the reunion who never would have known about it had the committee not had the tenacity to make it the best one ever!!

We had 96 classmates there, which is nearly 50% of the class, and about 150 or so with partners and spouses there. That's excellent after 30 years!!

I hope you all enjoy the pictures that were taken. There are only a few of you that I was not able to get pictures of, and if you would like to have a look at the images message me through the site here and I will send you the user name and password.

Let's do it all again in 2014 for the 35th!! I have heard from a few of you wanting to do it in 5 years, and then maybe combining with 1978 and 1980 for the 40th in 2019. That would be really fun!!!!

We need your feedback!!!!!!
